Special Event Park Permit

Any request to conduct a park event that is of a size and nature requiring the significant provision or coordination of city services will require a special event permit. If you are not sure if your activities require a special event permit, please call 832-393-0868 to speak with an event coordinator.

Permit is good for the event period only. Subsequent events must submit new application.

Park fees are based on attendance size. Must complete requisites.

Additional fees may apply depending upon the nature of the event.

Private Use of Park Space

An area within a park may be reserved for personal use for private events (such as a birthday party) or a sports field may be reserved for practice or tournaments through the Houston Parks and Recreation Department's Permits and Reservations Office.

Mayor's Office of Special Events reserves the right to refuse any application that does not comply with the codes, ordinances or laws of the City of Houston and/or the State of Texas.

Upon conditional approval, the following items must be submitted to MOSE for review:

• Completed application
• Certificate of Insurance
• Security control plan
• Traffic control plan
• Permission from neighborhood (when required)
• Other permits and licenses as required

Upon receiving all requisite documents final permit will be assessed.
